Grassroots Animal Advocacy Meeting – Mon Nov 29th

On Monday, November 29, 2010, from 6 pm to 8 pm, Rainbow Friends Animal Sanctuary is hosting a Grassroots Animal Advocacy Meeting in Keaau.  Join Rainbow Friends, The Humane Society of the United States representative Inga Gibson, and local animal advocates to discuss upcoming animal protection legislation and campaigns to help Hawaii’s animals.  Learn about the legislative and law making process, how to get involved and to be a voice for voiceless animals!  The meeting will be held at the Ola’a Community Center in Keaau.

For more information, you can call the Sanctuary at 982-5110

Raita, Patches and Pita

3 adorable puppies available for adoption

Patches is the one in the middle with black and white, well, patches.  She is around 4 months old and is a bundle of energy.    Pita (brown colored) and Raita (white) are brothers that were abandoned and found by a passer-by.   They are about 2 months old and were very ill when found, but have bounced back to good health and are ready to be adopted.    Could you give any of these cute little guys the home they deserve?

Sundance Moves To The Other Side Of The Island

Sundance, the beautiful (inside and out) German Shepherd/Chow Chow mix, got adopted by Karoline Karg from Holualoa. Sundance will be the only dog in the household and has to share her new owner with Hunter, a cat. You lucky girl, Sundance! Thank you, Karoline, for giving Sundance a second chance in life.
