Work Day June 25th

We have another work day planned for June 25th, 2011, from 9 am to 1 pm, followed by a potluck lunch. This time it is a cinder spreading party. We want to bring cinder out in the dog pens in Forest. Please bring rakes and shovels, if you have, or just bring yourself. Let’s work together for the animals!

Garage Sale May 28th

Please come to our garage sale at HPP between Maku’u and Paradise.

When: May 28th, 2011, from 8 am to 2 pm

Work Day May 7th

Please come and join us at our clean-up/work day at the sanctuary.

When: Saturday May 7th 2011 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm with potluck lunch to follow

Invite your friends along for a fun day and let’s work together. Pick-up trucks and weedeaters are welcomed.

There are kittens galore at Rainbow Friends!  Unfortunately the “spay/neuter your pets” message has not got through to everyone and many kittens have been born and then just abandoned.  Pictured are just some of the adorable little ones being helped here at the sanctuary.  If you would like to adopt one, please call us, they will be ready to go home with you soon.

Happy Endings: Ziggy Found A Forever Home

Ziggy, the pitbull mix, found his forever home with Hacha and Jess Carva in Hawaiian Beaches. He will live in the fenced front yard and lanai and will also be allowed in the house. What a life, Ziggy! Thank you Hacha and Jess for caring!

Kona Commons Pet Food Drive On April 16, 2011

Pet Food Dog House We are trying to build a dog house out of pet food and need your help! Come down to Kona Commons in front of Petco on April 16th from 9-12pm and donate dog/cat food (wet or dry). Pet food will be given to Rainbow Friends and other animal rescue organizations.

Cat Feeding Station To humanely control the feral cat population, Kona Commons is holding a Cat Feeding Station contest. Stations will be on display on April 16th from 9-12pm where the public can vote and choose the winning design. The winning station More >
