A spay/neuter clinic for cats will be held in Leilani Estates this Sunday (February 5th 2012).
Please bring your cat along to this low cost clinic. Lets help reduce the number on unwanted kittens in the island.
Due to a grant from the Petco Foundation we are able to offer free spay/neuter of feral cats. Stray cats and domestic cats will cost just $45.
Feral cat colony caretakers, do you need help fixing the feral cats you take care of? Don’t miss this opportunity to have them spayed/neutered.

Low-cost spay/neuter clinic for dogs

A low-cost spay/neuter clinic, for dogs only, will be held in in Leilani Estates on Sunday January 22nd 2012.
The cost per dog is a flat rate of only $60.

Rainbow Friends is hosting another Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic – this time for cats only – in Leilani Estates on Sunday October 16th 2011 (there will be one for dogs in November – more details later).

Panda Express Fundraiser: Aug 8th to 14th

Want to help the sanctuary while enjoying a good meal?
Our friends at Panda Express, Hilo are hosting another event to help us raise funds. All you have to do is pick up a discount flyer, present it with your food order and Panda Express will donate 20 percent of the purchase price to Rainbow Friends.
The discount is good from 11 am to 8 pm daily, from Monday Aug 8th through Sunday, Aug 14th. So you have several chances to help!

Rummage Sale, Sat Dec 18th

Hilo High School Rainbow Friends Club is organizing a rummage sale with all proceeds benefiting Rainbow Friends. This will be held on Sat, Dec 18th, from 9am to 2pm, in The Cafeteria at Hilo High School. So, come along and get some bargains! Of course, we are also looking for rummage-able stuff to sell. If you have any items to donate to the sale, please contact Sharon on 982 6975 to arrange pickup.
HPP Howling Holidays Dog-N-Jog, Sun Dec 12th

1 or 2 mile fund-raising dog run & walk benefiting Rainbow Friends at HPP Activity Center (Makuu & 17th) on Sunday December 12th 2010. Registration for runs/walks at 7am. Free events start at 9:15am.
Come run/walk and help the animals. Join the fun and free activities – Agility and Search & Rescue Demonstrations – Most Original Doggie Costume Contest – Photos with Santa and your doggie – “Ask-a-Vet” Information – Ono-licious Food & Special Doggie Treats – Win Great Prizes!

Dance the night away to favorite music from the 50’s and 60’s. Cruze – the fabulous items at the silent auction. Cool Threads – wear your favorite 50’s outfit, if you wish. Contests – costume and dance (limbo, jitterbug, twist). Cash bar and 50‘s food for purchase. Friday Dec 3rd from 7pm to 11pm at Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel Grand Ballroom. On Friday 8th October our friends at Panda Express, Hilo will donate 20% of their proceeds to Rainbow Friends. All you have to do is present one of our coupons when ordering your meal. That’s easy! This offer applies to sit-in and take-out meals, so please stop on by Panda Express between 11am and 8pm.

Fundraiser Outside Walmart, Hilo

On Sat 4th September 2010, from 8 am to 4 pm, Jayne Florina will have a food drive and fundraiser in front of Walmart, Hilo. There will be delicious cinnamon bread and other handmade items, such as jewelery, for sale. People can donate pet food items as well. Please come and visit Jayne!
