Rainbow Friends Animal Sanctuary Receives Grant From PETCO Foundation
We are most grateful for the grant support of $5,000 from PETCO Foundation, a 501©(3) non-profit corporation that directly supports life affirming programs of animal welfare groups, such as Rainbow Friends Animal Sanctuary, to raise the quality of life for pets and pet owners. The grant monies will be used exclusively to help us fulfill one of our missions of trapping, spaying/neutering and releasing (TNR) of feral cats and also promoting the sterilization of pet cats as a humane and effective way of managing the cat population. These efforts are important to prevent over-breeding, to successfully stabilize and eventually reduce the number of feral cats, and thereby decrease starvation and disease. We thank the PETCO Foundation and Paul Jolly, Executive Director of PETCO Foundation, for consideration of the needs of the animals and people of the Big Island of Hawai’i.
